Audio and video content requires accurate transcription before translation can happen. We do both, in the formats your platform or editor needs.
Video and audio content presents a set of challenges that document translation does not. The spoken word is informal in ways that written text is not. Speakers talk over each other, trail off mid-sentence, use register-specific language. Good transcription captures this accurately without cleaning it up into something the speaker did not say. Once transcribed, subtitle translation adds further constraints: timing requirements, character limits per line, reading speed, the way a pause on screen affects a viewer differently from a pause on a page. We produce transcripts and subtitles for: corporate training videos, conference recordings, documentary and factual content, e-learning modules, marketing and product videos, podcasts, and broadcast media. Subtitle files are delivered in the formats your platform requires: SRT, VTT, TTML, or custom formats for broadcast.
